The five fonts of the standard package Ffontiau Cymraeg correspond to commonly-used computer fonts:  Afallon (Avante Garde), Cwrwgl (Courier), Heledd (Helvetica), Padarn (Palatino) and Teifryn (Times). The bold, italic and bold italic forms are also included. The are availble in TrueType and PostScript formats for laser printers.

The keyboard driver AcenSyml which is included in the Ffontiau Cymraeg enables you to type the accented characters easily from the keyboard; it is available for PC (Windows) and Apple Macintosh.

Truetype samples can be downloaded below. The sample fonts have vowels underlined with the tiny word 'demo'underlining the vowel to show that this is a sampled font. Do not download a font sample if you already have that font installed on your computer because it will write over your original.

Click on the font to download the sample which is just like the full font except that the accented characters are underlined with the word demo. Save the sample to your hard drive. Double click on the file to decompress it (this runs in the DOS mode - just close the window when it has run). Move the decompressed file into your fonts directory within the Windows directory. The font will then appear within your list of fonts and you can see all the characters by running the Character map Windows accessory. The font will correctly display all standard Welsh Web pages.

The EZAccent keyboard driver software for Windows, Apple Macintosh and Acorn Risc OS computers makes it easy to type the accented characters from the keyboard and is included in the Ffontiau Cymraeg pack.
